For next class, please read Dorothy Allison's essay "A Question of Class," and, on this Google Doc, post TWO discussion questions: one question that focuses on Allison's text alone, and one question that tries to put Allison's reflections on class, sexuality, and gender into dialogue with Coates's reflections on systemic economic injustice and systemic racism. If you like, you can use a discussion question you generated last class as a starting point for the second question. And please remember to put your name with your questions.
FYI: Dorothy Allison is an amazing writer, and her autobiographical novel Bastard Out of Carolina is a classic piece of social justice literature, IMHO.
